Celebrating Love in the Countryside ♥

Natasha and I recently swapped our laptops for countryside views as we made our way from the bustle of London and Kent to beautiful Devon to celebrate a very special occasion – the wedding of our lovely colleague, Leanne.

We set off heading for the peaceful lanes and rolling hills of Devon. The drive was a welcome break, giving us time to unwind and enjoy the stunning scenery. As we settled in, excitement started to build as we all looked forward to seeing Leanne walk down the aisle.

The Big Day

The wedding itself was magical. Set right beside the sea, the waves rolled softly in the background whilst Leanne and her partner John said their vows. Leanne looked absolutely radiant and even for those of us who aren’t typically emotional, there was a moment (or two!) when we definitely felt a little something in our eyes!

After the ceremony, we made our way to the reception, meeting her loved ones and friends. We were treated to an exquisite meal, followed by speeches that were heartfelt and funny in equal measure. Kudos to the bride for making her speech too!

From the first dance to the last, it was a day filled with laughter, dancing, and catching up with each other outside our usual work setting.

Devon’s starry night sky was the perfect backdrop as we toasted to Leanne’s happiness and it reminded me just how lucky we are to work with such a wonderful, close-knit team.

Reflections from our time away

The trip to Devon to celebrate Leanne’s big day was also a reminder of how important it is to take time out of our busy schedules to celebrate life’s precious moments.

It’s easy to get caught up in the daily routine of appointments, treatments, and patient care, but weekends like this remind us to take a step back, appreciate the people we work with, and celebrate the milestones along the way.

Leanne’s wedding was a beautiful reminder of how important it is to cherish the relationships we build – both inside and outside the practice. Whether it's supporting a colleague through their big day or simply taking time to connect with each other away from the workplace, moments like these make everything we do even more meaningful.

Leanne, we wish you all the happiness in the world as you begin this new chapter. Your wedding was truly unforgettable, and we’re so grateful to have been a part of it. Here’s to many more team celebrations and happy moments to come!
